Organized by MuseumsPartner (Austria) and designed by Rocamora Architecture (Spain), this exhibition opened its doors at the Musée de la Civilisation in Québec from April to October 2021. It had the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Guatemala and the financial support of the Government of Québec, the City of Quebec, ICI Québec and the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.
More than 300 Pre-Columbian objects from the collections of the National Museum of Archeology and Ethnology of Guatemala and La Ruta Maya Foundation illustrated the following themes:
The close links between the Mayas and the jungle, its plants and animals.
Mayan writing, mathematics and astronomy
The treasures of kings and queens and the entanglement of politics
The culture and daily life of the Mayans of yesterday and today
