A selection of 89 works of art, in the custody of La Ruta Maya Foundation, is currently on show at the Drents Museum in Assen, Netherlands, as part of the great international exhibition “MAYA, RULERS OF THE RAINFOREST”.

The objects will be on view in Holland from February 28 to September 4, 2016 and then will travel to the Historisches Museum der Pfalz in Speyer, Germany, from October 2 2016 to April 23 2017.

The works of art include objects made of ceramics, copper, jade, stucco, stone, and limestone, among which there are highlights such as monuments with hieroglyphic writing, a cave painting on a stone flow (stalactite), a stucco sculpture of a man wearing a jaguar mask, and a mask made of jade mosaics.
